Letter of Rec from retired professor

Hello all! I’m applying to Pedo residency and I have asked an old professor from dental school for a LOR but he hasn’t been with the school since 2018. Will they accept his LORs? P.S
I graduated 2018

I don't see why they wouldn't? unless he caused some scandal that caused him to retire lol.

It may hold more weight to have a current academic write one as well though.

It should be accepted a a former faculty member without any issue.
