Letter of Rec question

One of my science letter of rec is from a TA because I never got to see the profesor since the TA runs the whole bio lab. Therefore, would schools accept it as a science letter of rec because it seems like some schools require a letter from a instructor/profesor for sciences.

I don't think letters of recs from TA's are favorable. But, maybe you can get the TA to "talk" with the professor and relay to him/her what a good candidate you are.

Again, this is just my opinion, but I think professional schools like to see letters come from proffessors, preferably tenured ones with a good reputation.
