Letter of Rec

hello, I am trying to apply med school this year. I was going to apply next year, which is my graduating year, but I heard one of the schools I am applying to has changed MCAT optional. I don't have a lot of volunteer hours. To make myself more a competitive applicant, how many letters of rec do you guys recommend? how many should I get from science professors and doctors? Please help

It won’t make you more competitive, but you need the standard amount. 3 from professors or a committee letter and 1 from a doc. If going osteopathic preferably an osteopathic doc.
