Hey Guys! I have a really quick question about the classification of a letter of recommendation writer. I received course credit for a teaching position in my university's Biology department, and have asked the professor leading the course to write me a letter of rec, which she was happy to do. My question is, would she count as a science or a non-science instructor? It is a selective elective course for my Biology major, but I know it's not as defined as, say, "Organic Chemistry". Would it be best for me to contact the schools I am applying to and ask admissions?

Thanks!

I think you might as well ask the schools. I know for some school plant biology does not count, which implies that schools do have different criteria for who is a science professor.
