I did my premed courses with a GPA of 4.0 in 2008 but delayed my plans for medical schools due to family priorities. I am currently 40 and planning to study for MCAT again. In 2008 my premed advisor kept asking me if I needed a committee letter and I told him that I was not ready yet. So, they closed my file. Do you think I can still request them for the committee letter for applying to medical school. I don't have any other way to get a letter of recommendation.

Don't most schools offer letters to alumni? Contact the school.

Didn't you post this in the nontrad section? Double posting is kinda frowned upon, just fyi.
