I saw the post about the same topic; however it did not seem that the main questions were answered. My school does not have a pre-med comittee. I have a few questions:
Do my professors/ employers have to send letter of rec to each school individually or just to fill out out AMCAS form? Do they get that form AMCAS web site or via mail?

even if your school doesn't have a pre-med committee (mine didn't), you probably still have a pre-med advisor who handles the LOR collection. at my school, it was actually the pre-med advisor's wife. so you have all your people send their letters to the collection person, and then you tell the collection person which letters to send to which schools. i think this is done because of the whole confidentiality thing, and because it is a pain in the ass otherwise. if your school doesn't have ANYONE to handle this for you, you should ask your advisor how this situation has been handled in the past. and AMCAS doesn't have anything to do with LORs, the LORs are requested by individual schools with their secondaries. you will find that some schools want LORs from specific people and some schools want a specific number.
