I know aadsas counts math courses towards the science gpa. But I was wondering, does a math professor count as a science professor letter of rec? This is cause I have read that they do and they don't, so kind of confused on that.

Thanks!

The answer is both yes and no. It all depends on the school you are applying for. You should check the websites of all the schools that you are interested in sending your app to and figure it out from there. It's pretty easy to look into. For example USC's website states explicity that you need recs from bio, chem, or physics profs:
<http://dentistry.usc.edu/doctoral.aspx?id=902>

Whereas Tufts will accept one letter from a math prof:
<http://dental.tufts.edu/1176295338385/TUSDM-Page-dental2w_1186496760237.html#procedures>

Just do the research, it's not that hard.
