Letters of Rec.

No, they go out with secondaries. Your university should have a service that will hold them and send them out for you at your requst. That way, the prof sends it to the service and you drop by with stamped envelopes whenever you want to send them out (time it so they go out in the same week as the secondary).

Are you applying this cycle?

LORs should be ready by now, but a lot of people get them later. I am still working on my last one. You send in your AMCAS, they take like forever to verify your app and send it to schools, the schools receive your AMCAS after 2 weeks or so of receiving them, they send you a secondary.

You usually have 2 weeks to send in secondaries. Along with the secondary, you send in your LORs to each school. Let me rephrase that, YOU don't send them in, you ASK for them to be sent in by the prof directly or preferably through a letter writing/holding service. Then you bite your nails and sit and wait to get your interview. But judging from your (high) MCATs, I bet you won't be waiting that long. 🙂 Hope this makes sense.
