I have a question about letters of recommendation. I ask two professors to give me a letter of recommendation right. How do I know what address to put on the envelope that I give the professors to mail my letters in? And when can I start my application process? And when people say apply early, what do they mean by that, like a week after the application process starts or within a month? And one last one question. Is there an essay portion on the application and if so how long is it and what do they want you do do with this space?

Ill try to help ya, im not a seasoned vet like some of these folks though. You should be able to find the address to mail the LORs from the AADSAS website. From what i have heard, apply as early as possible, from mid may to mid june at the latest. Finally that essay portion is pretty much your personal statement, just talk about yourself and why dentistry is for you. Hope this helps!

This is quoted right off the application:

"Your Personal Statement should address why you desire to pursue a dental education and how a dental degree contributes to your personal and professional goals.
You are encouraged to compose your statement in a text-only word processor (e.g., Notepad), review your statement for errors, then cut and paste the final version into the text box above. Click the Save button and return to the Personal Statement to review the formatting of your text. You are limited to approximately 1 page (4500 characters, including spaces).

Some formatting characters used in programs like Word (angled quotes, accents, special characters) will not display properly. Carefully review your final text and to make the necessary corrections to the format."

And for LORs...have your professors prepare them now. Then when the app becomes available (mid may), there is a sheet you print and give to them that has the address that the letter needs to be sent to.

Hope this helps.
