Who is better to ask for letters of recommendation? Will 3 letters of recommendation from school work? How important is volunteer experience?
Thank you

I kinda already answered this in the last thread you asked. UIC specifically - in the supplement - asks for a LOR from 1) a supervisor (someone you've worked under) and 2) a teacher/professor.

I would encourage you to check out UIC College of Pharmacy webpage, and it will provide most of the answers you are looking for.

The class is getting finalized in the next week, as those students who were offered admission have until tomorrow - April 28th - to accept or turn down UIC COP's offer.

Volunteer experience, and just extracurricular experience in general is important. Admissions committes are looking for individuals that can succeed in academics, but also it is evident that he or she wishes to become a pharmacist. And this is usually demonstrated by their experience in the pharmacy, involvement in volunteering, etc. Not to say that you can't get in without pharmacy experience, but more experience definitely helps your overall application.

choose professors and work supervisors. But if you know they will write a half-ass letter of rec. pick someone else. Choose people that will give you the best rec. thats your best option
