Anyone know if professors tend to go on vacation during the summer? I've emailed my professors about a week and a half ago and haven't gotten a response. Both of them agreed to write me a letter of recommendation, and they have both replied to my emails before.

Yea it's difficult because only some work during the summer, and even if you do email them they have so many emails just from students asking questions for class. Then the worse time to email is when classes start.. I would go in during their office hours and ask them, many schools require prof's to have them.

If you don't hear from them for a bit, follow up with another email. Some of them just forget or see it and think they'll get back to it and then don't. Or give them a call, if you have a number for them. Reiterate a deadline for them, so they know it's urgent business.
