Just checked out PASS and noticed that some GPRs require up to a whopping 5 letters of recommendation, many from very specific types of dental school faculty (restorative, didactic, one dept chair, perio or oral surgery, endo)...
I was prepared with a solid list of 5-6 d-school faculty to confront about letters, but now it looks like even they don't fit the bill for many of these programs because none are dept. chairs or prosthodontists per se, for example, even if they are tenured professors with solid credentials that actually know my work (unlike the lofty dept chair)
Anyone got any advice? does following the rules really matter if the letters of rec are good?
