Licensure to practise in the US

Hi
I am a foreign trained dentist, about to take my NBD Part1. I have a question, pls can someone answer it for me.
Can I get a icense to practise here in the US after I complete a MS? I want to complete both parts of the NBD exam, do a MS and then try for a licensure. Is this possible? Or only a DDS can help me here?
