Hi, I was wondering if there is a list of pharmacy schools that do not require PCAT nor interview.

Thanks.

Pretty mean,

I think that's a great question. I don't know if that info is already compiled, but if not we should compile it.

Here's a start:

USC
UCSF
UCSD
Oregon Health Sciences
Western
UOP

Florida A&M
Idaho State
Purdue
U of Louisiana at Monroe
Xavier (Louisiana)
Mass - Boston
Mass - Worcester
Northeastern
Michigan
Minnesota
St. Louis
Creighton
Nebraska
Rutgers
New Mexico
A&M Schwartz
St. John's
Buffalo
Albany
Cincinnati
Toledo
Oregon State
Lake Erie
Philadelphia

Sorry, my previous list was PCAT not required.

Here's no interview & no PCAT schools:

Auburn
Arkansas
Connecticut
Idaho State
Mass - Boston
Northeastern
Michigan
St. Louis
Creighton
Rutgers
New Mexico
A&M Schwartz
St. John's
Buffalo
Albany
Toledo
Lake Erie
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh
Rhode Island
South Carolina
Tennessee

Again, I can't vouch for the list. I'm pretty sure that Tennessee requires a PCAT.

I would guess that schools that require neither a PCAT nor an interview might actually be MORE competitive than those that do. For instance University of MIchigan does not require a PCAT (although it's optional) and interviews only if they see a potential discrepancy, but they are one of the top 5 schools in the US as far as I know, and they have a class size of about 60. Most of their students have (at least) a 4 year degree prior to starting the program, and they rarely take any community college students. I guess they just expect outstanding grades and figure that you will make it. There are exceptions of course, but if anyone really wanted to go to pharm school, why not take the pcat and go interview for a few hours? It might even make up for some less than perfect undergrad grades.

I know that there are a lot of schools that do not require the PCAT for admission into their program. But on a couple of interviews that I went to, the schools are now requiring the applicants to take the PCAT (Due to the increase in the applicant pool and the introduction of the PHARMCAS) for the up-coming application period.

I think the best way to check is to contact the schools admission officer and get the info from them.

As for a list of schools that Do/Do Not require the PCAT...Rock on!

Minnesota now requires the PCAT.

Auburn interviews are killing me.
