Does anyone have a list of schools that do NOT have a secondary app? I dont mind paying an additional fee but I mean no extra essays, etc.

Thanks

Mayo comes to mind. Others -I'm not sure.

There are plenty. UCSF, AECOM, Jefferson, SLU, etc.

Penn, Harvard (at least if you are a college senior and applying to New Pathway)

add Drexel and both UMDNJs (NJM and RWJ) ... well, Drexel "has one" but no real essays

Just pooling: please quote this post to add more schools to the list.

i don't think duke has essays either.

You're right. They have multi-dimensional harassment questions. From what I understand, more than 1 of the 5 "essays" have like multiple questions built into it. lol?

I think this thread is very helpful. Thanks for creating it OP!

in one of the "essays" they just come out and say that theyre looking for 2 different responses, one for each of the questions they ask. its awful. its definitely a measure they take to make sure only those applicants who REALLY REALLY REALLY want Duke are the ones that apply...

Excellent screening technique, IMO. lol

Since when does Einstein not have a secondary?

At the beginning I noticed you guys had penn state on the list, and then it was changed to penn, did someone accidently delete "state?"

A lot of schools make you fill out essays once you've received an interview, but not before.

Why is Miami on that list? They do have a secondary.

EDIT: never mind it was removed.

i definitely made a thread like this before and got flamed for it. "just suck it up and do the essays" they said. there are some older lists on here that have good information.

btw the texas schools are on TMSDAS so you have to go through a separate application. it doesn't really help to have a no-effort secondary.

lol sorry for your previous experience.

i think the main goal of no-effort secondaries is when its late in the cycle and kids are paranoid they arent gonna get in. or at least, i hope thats the main reason :D

no. i corrected it earlier in the thread because penn state does have a secondary. penn does not.

really? like which schools? i've never heard of this!

 SUNY buffalo=Buffalo? right?

seriously?

It does if you answer yes to any of the questions.

that's hardly an essay. isn't it like 50 words or something? i answered yes to at least two of them and i did the secondary in about 20 minutes.

what about md/phd? would that require additional essays?
