I have been fortunate enought to have both of my big research positions be paid. One as a research assistant and now as a research coordinator. I really want to highlight that I did this research so can I list it under the Research category on the AMCAS application or do I have to list it under paid work? What about paid clinical work?

I can't seem to find any guidelines on AMCAS about this.

    Thanks!

I work as a research coordinator. I listed it as a paid position, but don't worry, you'll still get asked about your research... a lot.

Edit: side note, just b/c they're paying you to do it doesn't mean they won't put your name on things... call it a fringe benefit. Don't be afraid to ask to get involved in publications.

Technically you could list it as both. However I would want to be safe and list it as paid to avoid any future problems about your honesty. Do not worry in the interviews they will pretty much ask you about everything on your listed application. But yeah like ^ said, try to get your name on some stuff even as a second author, it will help!

You can't list it as "volunteering - clinical/medical"
However, you can list it as "Paid Job/work" and then, explain how it was "clinical"
