hello sdn peeps.

long time since i posted here, but thought i'd check back in. first off, there is light at the end of the tunnel. for those of you finishing residency this year, just know that you have a bright future ahead of you. the first year of PP sucks, though. lots of new stuff you have to get used to.

secondly, and i cannot stress this enough, stay active. stay active in your practice. even as a junior attending, it is important to go to meetings. no, you won't get to vote. but, if you say intelligent, cogent things in a non-confrontational way, you will get heard.

also, stay active politically. we have a guy in our group who liaises with the state on political matters. very powerful guy. this is a good friend to have in your practice, and there is ample opportunity to remain politically active. listen to blademda and toughlife (who i think both still post here) about the issues facing us. they are both very tuned in and it is important to hear what they say.

and, just a quick note to hung-chi and mike, i'm not who you think i am. never was. mike, i'm sorry you axed a guy from being a potential colleague because you thought i was him. i actually landed in florida. be careful what you believe or what you think you believe. this is the internet. don't trust 100% everything you read here.

now, as mike tyson once said, it's time for me to fade back into bolivian. glad to see the forum going strong. remember what i said above. life is good, but be vigilant. that's the biggest lesson i've learned since finishing in 2007. that and if you can get an mba that will help you rise fast in your practice.
