living in LA

i'm currently looking for a place to live for the school year in the palms area. like steve mentioned, not all of LA is scum... just exercise caution, as with living in any place. for those of you not from LA, be prepared to do a relatively "long" commute if you don't live around campus. traffic is notorious.
