is anyone planning on living on campus while attending medical school? I don't think i could handle living in dungenous dorms again. do medical schools provide better on campus living amenities than those provided for undergrads?

depends on the school. some don't provide housing at all...

The dorms I stayed in were pretty bad, but I think those are mostly used for housing visitors. Apparently the med dorms are usually marginally better than the undergrad ones.

For better or worse, I'll be off-campus: I have a dog.

I'll decide when I get there. However, unless the dorms are small/tiny/crowded/smelly, I'll probably live in one. One less thing to worry about (vis a vis rent, heating, water, etc). But if I get into a school with slitty dorms, I'll look into apartments. I'm either going to be on the east coast, in the midwest, or on the west coast.
