I have recently spoken to three people who have had experiences with NHSC and a couple other loan repaymeny programs. They said that if you sign up to go to serve in an underserved community, your loans are repaid ONLY if there are sufficient funds, which with their experience, was about 20% of the time. They said only about 20% of the people they knew in the program actually received loan repayment for working in the programs. Can anyone verify/deny this info?
