location of osteochondroma

    anyone knows where's the location of osteochondromas? my school note says epiphysis but first aid says metaphysis (2008, p351).

    i actually have an osteochondroma on the distal-medial aspect of my left femur that protrudes 3cm into the vastus medialis and will require surgery at some point. also, there's roughly a 1% chance it will undergo malignant transformation into a chondrosarcoma.

    and it's metaphysis. :cool:
