Locum Tenens in Psychiatry?

So I get this magazine, Locum Life (free subscription, if yr interested--it's basically a monthly ad for Locums agencies):

They've done articles on locums psychiatry lifestyle...

...just curious if anyone has done it or is thinking about it. I've heard you can even get locums psych work in New Zealand!

I've read a number of issues of that publication. I have a friend who has every intention of doing locum for a few years to travel the country and world after graduation. Apparently, you can make fantastic money doing a couple part time positions, and just when you start to get bored or have seen everything close by - it's time to pick up and leave for the next adventure!

Great if you have no family or local commitments, I suppose.
