I was just wondering from anyone whos ever applied to LLU, how long after you submitted your application did you hear anything from them? I submitted my application about a week ago and I know it's still really early, but I just wanted to see about how long I will be waiting. By the way, I didn't submit in time for early decision so it was exactly 2 days after that deadline.

I already submitted my application about a month ago. They didn't really confirm my application is completed. I had to call in and check. They said the first interview date is int week of Nov.

Since LLU is a religious school, do you think religious affiliation has a lot of bearing on their admission decisions? I mean, it shouldnt, but one of the questions on the LOR regards the student's religion.

No, that would be descriminatory. They probably ask that for statistical purposes.

I volunteered at Loma Linda Hospital and had a chance to talk to some of the first and second year students, they all told me that there really few students who are SDA.

I'm not SDA either. I wrote down on my personal statement I'm a catholic.

Did anyone get a letter of invite from them? If it's November 4th then some people would have gotten it already. So far... no letter yet for me.

me neither. i called them 2 weeks ago .. i had submitted mine aug 1 and they said i was in that "early pool" and i should be hearing from them just about now.. but they havent called.

they dont send letters, they call supposedly.

i keep staring at my phone...

I submitted my app late august and called them yesterday to ask about interviews. They said I would be considered the 3rd group for interviews (that is IF I get one) and that I would hear from them 2 weeks from now. Hmm..does anyone know how many ppl LLU interviews per session?

I heard people have been interviewed, and someone got in already (new feedback post)

for anyone who has interviewed, could u give your stats and whether or not you got in?

did they call or did you get a letter/email?

thanks!

I sent in my app for LLU late august, got a "Your application is complete" after a few weeks and now I just got a letter dated 11/10/05 that said, File is currently under review and that I will receive a phone or written correspondence once admissions committe has made a decision.

My question: For those that interviewed or have been accepted, when you got this letter, how long did you have to wait to see if you get an interview or not?

I'm just asking b/c I'm trying to plan out what classes to take next quarter.

Thank you!

The interview at LLU was very relaxed and it was just as described on the feedback pages. The dean spent about 20 minutes describing the accreditation process, and another 10 minutes discussing the program. This is a very good program, and I don't foresee any kinks in getting accreditation. The interview was very laid back and they only asked several questions pertaining to my experiences in pharmacy and community service work. They are very nice, and are really there to help you succeed. My fellow co-interviewees were very cool. No one was competitive and everyone had a good attitude. (I hope they all get in!!!) Good luck to those interviewing in the future.

About 1500 apps have been received so far. I estimate about 120-150 people will be getting interview and only for 65 spots. If you make it to the interview stage, you have a decent shot at getting in. It's up to you to shine and market yourself. I'll find out in about a week.

Hey blueclassring,

When did you submit your application?
Also, how many ppl were in your interview group?

i submitted my app after the oct 15 deadline. i suspect it was complete by nov 1. there were 12 people in my interview group. some spots are gone from the program, and i think there are about 58 spots left.
