Looking for info about MD/PhD applications

In filling out the AAMC primary application, there's the standard "explain why you want to go to medical school" essay. But if you are are applying for an MD/PhD program, is there an additional essay when you submit your primary for you to explain why you want to pursue the dual-degree? Or does every school just ask for that info in their secondaries?

in the primary there will be space for the why medicine essay, the why md/phd essay, and the research description essay. The option to enter the additional two should appear when you enter schools and select the dual degree/MDPhD option (at least it did for me).
