So FA says loop diuretics abolish hypertonicity of medulla and prevent concentration of urine. Can anyone explain the mech? Many thanks in advance.

Block NKCC reabsorption = no solutes in the medulla. No solutes in the medulla = no gradient for reabsorption of water.
