LOR: How many requests is too many?

I had one professor with whom I've had a good relationship with happily agree to be a reference for just about everything I asked for - including med school, volunteering and shadowing programs. However, I'm currently in the middle of my gap years and have two programs in particular that both require another recommendation. Is it bad etiquette to ask the same writer too many times for letters? I am very nervous about bugging him too much.
