    I think it's one of those things where it's more important if you're near the bottom, or seen as average.

    no to the hours..just make sure they tell in what capacity they know you.

    How can you be in the "Top X %" for volunteering? Why the need to slap rankings on everything?

    My pre-med committee's evaluation forms had this on it as well and I felt like it was strange. Initially I wasn't worried about it but then I found out these forms are sent to the med schools with the letters as part of the committee "packet." :eek: Anyway, the highest ranking on our form was Top 10-15%. Top 5% is a good thing. :thumbup:
