So I thought I was having trouble finding a non-science LOR writer. Then I looked on my schools web site and found that the MD's at the University Health Center are classified as faculty. The director of the Health Center is an MD and I was thinking about having him write that LOR. In the past he has commented I have done a "terrific job" and was impressed by "dedication" to the Health Center. Whatta y'all think? Is this a good way to side-step this problem? Or am I headed towards disaster if their name isn't followed by PhD?

I think they want someone who has taught you in a non-science course.

SMW is right! What about your favorite TA?
Can you ask them to write a rec, sign it and have the professor of the course sign it as well? I know this is done frequently at my school. good luck!
