LOR requirements?

Hey all,

I was just wondering if there were any of you who've gone through the application process and could tell me what the LOR requirements are (i.e. two from science professors, 1 from premed committee, etc, etc. ) Also, for a non-science major, it may be difficult to get to know the science faculty as well as I would like to. How would you recommend getting the best letters that I can?

It's usually just one letter from a committee, or three letters, 2 of which must be from science faculty members.

I'd suggest doing research to get to know one science faculty member well, then while taking pre-med courses, get to know another one.

I would advise that you find a letter service (either interfolio, or through your school). Get the following letters, and you will be well covered.

2 science
1 from your major
committee letter
1 from a supervisor from one of your ECs

That should cover you for most of the schools reqs.
