i helped one of my proffesors write my lor. is this not allowed?

Usually you have to sign an agreement that waives your right to access your recommendations. This means the school doesn't have to give you your records if you request them. That's different than not seeing a letter.

And as I said earlier, your professor will likely change whatever you write. I doubt the letter he sends will be exactly what you wrote.
 
You should be fine. Two of my letter writers had me collaborate with them on their letters. My school's LOR service doesn't care and told me that's very common nowadays.
