Hi all:

Do you need an Anesthesia letter of recommendation to get into a program. I've already got a few interviews with just 3 general LOR's, but I was wondering if it'll affect my rank if I don't submit an anesthesia LOR or submit a subpar anesthesia LOR.

BTW, my other LOR's are pretty good, thank God!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Programs want to know that you have explored the field enough to know what you're getting yourself into and that you're going into it for the right reasons. A letter will help show them that. I wonder if the reason no one else has replied is because everyone gets a letter in the field they're going into. It's common sense.
