LOR's: How long is too long?

Ok so here is my predicament, I asked my LOR writers to write me letters over two months ago and only one of them have been recieved so far. Is it rude to contact the others and just remind them of my letter. I just want to make sure I am not going against some breech of ettiquete before I send them a letter reminding them of my letter.
