Physician residents and interns at Los Angeles County hospitals reached a tentative agreement with the county on new contract terms on Sunday, averting a two-day strike initially slated to begin June 13, according to a release from the union.
The union gave the county official notice of plans to strike on June 2. The two sides met again the next day and the county presented salary and benefit proposals in line with resident demands, according to the release.
