DO Low gpa and high mcat for DO

My friend was wondering if he has a chance at DO or does he have to fix his gpa first? He has 3.45 cgpa and 3.1 sgpa (no trend) with two MCAT attempts (504 first time and then 515 second time). He has plenty of clinical and non clinical ecs so they shouldn't be a problem. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Your friend is competitive for most DO schools with those stats. Some schools may screen with a sGPA less than 3.2 (VCOM and CUSOM and possibly others).
