Which is more important really ? MCAT or GPA ? Would it be better to have a lower GPA and higher MCAT or vice versa ? Obviously there is a lot of grade inflation in the country, but other places it's difficult to achieve high gpa's and the MCAT should seperate the weak from the strong. On the other hand, a low (3.0 - 3.4 <basically, below average> ) gpa could give impressions of bad study habits for classes and an indicator of failure in med school classes.
Those that already went through the process, what kind of comments did you notice from Adcoms ? Which do they value more ? Which MCAT section do they value more ? What is more likely to be the screening factor ?
thanks in advance.
