What is the lower tier of medical schools? What is generally required of applicants to them?
Thanks for your help.

There are no "official" tiers to categorize schools. Some fools go by the US News ranking which can be found at http://www.usnews.com/usnews/rankguide/rghome.htm follow the links or search for it, it's been beaten to death here. However, its based primarily on research dollars (NIH) which may or may not mean anything to you.

In a nutshell, top schools and "lower" schools alike require good grades, an acceptable MCAT score, and a personality that fits well with the particular school's learning style.;)

EDIT: (had to fix the link)
