Male physicians and extramarital affair...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Why not? Because it's a crappy thing to do.

It just doesn't seem very Christ-like to play a role in someone destroying their marriage. It's not even a Christian thing - it's a Golden Rule kind of situation. I wouldn't want someone to be okay with sleeping with my SO, so I wouldn't do that to someone else. Cheating is something that doesn't have to happen. You can break up with an SO and/or end your marriage in ways that don't hurt your partner so deeply.

Of course, people have moment of weakness and make mistakes. I'm certainly not perfect. That's why it's healthy to stop and reflect on your values and life choices every once in awhile. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
I'm not saying I'm one of those people, I'm just saying that I don't fault the "other girl/guy" in these sorts of situations nearly as much as the married individual. Random bystander is often unaware of marital status or being deceived in other ways, something that should be considered.

Can someone explain to me what being a physician has to do with have an affair? Huge numbers of male doctors also see escorts. What does that have to do with your quality of work?

Yeah I don't really care what they do in their spare time, as long as they do their job.

Exactly. Just cause someone is in xyz profession doesn't mean they won't do things society doesn't like (affairs, seeing escorts - latter much more popular for men btw).
