Anyone hear from the Manhattan programs (interviews or rejections)???

Applied to Cornell, Columbia, NYU, Mt. Sinai and haven't heard a thing. At least one person on the main interview thread got an interview invite for Cornell, though.

Same here.... i applied to those exact four programs, and have not heard from any one of them....

i've applied to all the manhattan programs (except harlem and north shore) and have only heard back from st. vinnies. of course, i only got my transcript and chairman's letter uploaded a few days ago. what is taking them so long?? ahhhh!

hey all....applied to 36 (yes...36) IM programs in NYC (well...UMDNJ, LIJ, North Shore, Stony Brook, NUMC and NYMC, Winthrop aren't NYC per se), and haven't heard from ANY OF THEM including Mt. Sinai (all 55 campuses that they have ), Columbia, Cornell, NYU!!! Someone on the interview thread was talking about interviews @ SUNY-Downstate (how badly I wanna be there, you have NO IDEA!! 😀 ), and a few were mentioning St. Vinnies, and Maimonides....

Oops...ok...so I forgot...have 1 interview @ New York Hospital Center-Queens/Cornell Medical College....but that's not Manhattan per se anyways..


BTW...does anyone know what the relationship that NY Hospital Center has with Cornell....they keep telling me that they are "VERY" closely affiliated w/ Cornell....Input?

wow. i didn't even realize that many existed. then again, nyc is a pretty big place, eh?

I've applied to all five university programs in NYC (Columbia, Cornell, NYU, Mt Sinai and Montefiore), and so far I've only gotten an interview from Montefiore. I've got pretty good stats - Step I 245, first 1/3 at a top 20 med school - so I'm sure I'll get at least a few from NYC, and I'm pretty confident that this is just a case of NY schools waiting for the Dean's Letters to roll out on Nov 1 (expect for Cornell, which definitely is giving out interviews)... Of course, I say that I'm "pretty confident," meanwhile I'm checking my email enough to a crash the server - so if anyone hears anything, please let me know - thanks.

I received an invite from Mt. Sinai today. They just gave me a specific date and I'm supposed to confirm ASAP...gonna call the rest of the NYC programs and try to find out what their plans are so I can avoid arranging multiple trips to the city. (Though that wouldn't be bad since I love it there!)

ok, so i got interviews from st. vinnies, beth israel, st. luke's-roosevelt, suny-downstate, jacobi, montefiore.

i'm still waiting for lenox hill, nyu, mt. sinai, cornell, columbia, nyu downtown, metropolitan and cabrini.

anyone hear from lenox hill?

i only applied to mt. sinai and columbia, and have heard from both. mt. sinai sent me a specific date asking me to notify them right away if it was not a good date for me; this was 2 weeks ago, and they just got back to me last week with a confirmation. i just heard from columbia this week.

Nothing out of Mt Sinai or NYU yet though.

Got a Cornell invite this past Monday. Still nothing from Columbia or NYU.
