The game's almost over..

Shouldn't those of us who were put on the 'hold pool' be getting acceptances/rejections by now?

I hear schools like USC fill up most of their seats by March.. but I've only heard of people accepted soon after their interviews rather than those who wait for months (I assume they are put on some sort of hold pool like UCSD's but are inconsiderate for keeping the applicants in the dark.

Is the same true for 2nd-tier schools? They should have a high turnover and we should be hearing from them?

Someone please tell me that I'm wrong, as I am very low on hope. It sucks to go so far, to get 2ndaries, interviews and even put on their wait/alternate list… and then get rejected.

Heck, I've heard of some people not knowing they're accepted until classes start due to others declining their spots late in the game. It's not truly over until it starts.

Don't forget that magical date May 15.
After that there will be movement galore. I personally will release 2 spots. I'm still thinking, I'm still thinking...sorry. May good things come your way all those who are still waiting.

My hope is fading too... Those of us in "hold" should be hearing something in the next two weeks I would think...unless the schools haven't finished their interviewing, which seems to be the case w/ some of the schools. I'm getting impatient w/ the schools that have kept me in the dark for 3+ months post-interview...that's not cool. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

No! You'll start getting out the hold pool post May 15th. It's waaaaaaay too early for people to start giving up acceptances now. Don't worry.

OK...someone correct me if I'm wrong. By "hold" we're talking about schools putting us on hold post-interview, correct??? As in, we haven't made a final decision...acceptance/rejection/waitlist...riiiggght????
None, are you speaking of waitlists??? I know you don't find out about getting off waitlists (in most cases) until after May 15th...
Schools aren't going to keep us in the dark until 5/15 regarding our "hold" position, are they (I didn't think they'd wait that long....)???? I think I need some food for thought...

Yeah, I think we are talking about waitlists. But holds are welcome too. I'm on a hold myself, at Rush.
