    Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to transfer med. schools in ur final yr. due to getting married and wanting to live with your spouse in a different geographical area??

If it allowed what is the procedure??

    Thanks.

As far as I know most US MD schools require that its students must complete at least 50% of their coursework at the school. This figures in nicely when you consider that most, if not all, med schools only accept transfers into the third-year class. Also figure that it is really the second-year transition to third-year (namely the Boards) which could take some kids out of the class and that's when you'll have open spots.

But into the fourth-year class? I don't think that's very likely or possible.

Why don't you just take a bunch of away rotations in your new location? Probably easier.
