Maryland Post-interview 'HOLD' $%#$#^$!

So I called Maryland yesterday and they told me they put me on post-interview 'hold'. I asked them what this meant. They said they haven't decided to accept, reject, or waitlist me. Pretty much they're interviewing more people and then deciding on me, probably at the end of May!
I don't know if this is better or worse than waitlist, but anyone else get this crappy news?
They said they sent the 'hold' letter to my home Kali, and I told them to send a copy to Baltimore as well.

Dude.
I got the same letter in November and it says they will reevaluate your app every month or so. Too bad they never tell you that while they reevaluate the app, they do not make any decisions until freaking May! Personally I think it is BS but there is nothing anyone can do. I have pretty much decided I am not going there even if I get in but my rents will not let me withdraw my app just yet. Good luck, I hope you get in.

hey...
that happened to me last year- i ended up wait-listed in june. it's really crappy the way MD does it, not bothering to tell you when you'll hear... i think for me it was mid-june. good luck!
