One year I believe. I was there for 8 years.

Speaking of Maryland...did anyone get off their waitlist yet? I went from 'hold' to waitlist I just found <sigh>

How did you find out that you're off hold? I'm still holding... Good luck with the waitlist (sorry I don't have any info about it).

I called them up to find out. By the way, the admissions people there are generally the rudest I've met. Maybe it's because they've had rude applicants there, but they do not like students it seems.

I'm sorry that you've had such a horrible time with the admissions office wangsta...I'm of a first name basis with several of them. I think you have to hit them at the right time. Anyway...from what I've heard, is that the waitlist is tiered...you can find out what tier you are on...if it is the lower tier...basically, better luck next year.

Good luck to you, wangsta, and wallie. PM with any other questions.

altoid, i'm under the impression that it is very difficult to change your residency to maryland for tuition purposes. i think that is a UMD system-wide thing. Nothing is impossible though, and the best course of advice is to ask someone in the Residency Classification Office...sorry i just did a search for a number..but, alas no luck. try calling the admissions office...Phone: 410-706-7478.

peace...
