Hello all! I'm interested in pursuing a degree/career in the public health field. I've been looking into some schools and I'm trying to make the best choice. Is there any difference between a Master of Public Health degree program and a Master of Science in Health Promotion program? I know that with the latter, you can qualify to become a Certified Health Education Specialist and the particular program I'm looking at in Health Promotion is not a CEPH program. I've read that employers tend to favor graduates who attended a school that is accredited by the CEPH. I'm still trying to narrow down what field I would like to pursue. Actually, I would like to be able to work in health education, epidemiology, health administration, environmental health, etc. So would it be best to choose a general MPH program or would the MSc in Health Promotion be good? I'm considering an online program because I currently work full-time. Thanks for any replies!!
