I'm a fringe candidate for a PhD program so assuming I don't get in I would like to get my masters first then apply when I can put together a more competitive application. There seems to be a limited number of terminal masters programs in clinical psychology so my question is what would be my best alternative? I feel like a Counseling masters might not look great for a Clinical PhD program even with extensive research experience. Thanks.
