Computer science. Engineering school, not top 20.

18 on Kaplan diagnostic.

4. Did you work for your score or feel that it came easy to you?
Worked my butt off.

5. What was your edge?
Kaplan. Took advantage of everything they had to offer. See my advice in a thread titled "Stop studying" or something like that.

1. How much time did you spend preparing for the MCAT?

5 months 10 hours/week while working as a researcher.

2. What was your background[major, school (top 20 etc), AP classe in high school etc.]

History, top 5, AP in High School (don't think AP is important though.)
I think the most important things are to have a good undergrad. curriculum and to have already devoted a lot of time to the subjects areas.

3. Diagnostic score or 1st Practice exam score?

30

4. Did you work for your score or feel that it came easy to you?

Worked hard, but tend to do well on standardized tests.

5. What was your edge?

Did all the AMCAS practice tests and a bought the kaplan books to use as a review guide. Drilled it until I was dreaming about redox equations.

Worked in basic science research which helped solidify the core concepts.
