I'm From Canada, and I am just wondering about the process for AMCAS and secondaries. I took the MCAT last year, but didn't do well in verbal (7). I just re-took the Aug MCAT. How will most American med schools treat my application? I sent in my primary already and have received the generic secondaries. But will they reject me on the basis of last year's MCAT socres, or will they wait until my new MCAT score is in before they evaluate my application? If they wait, then I just feel that I'll be wasting $ on sending in my secondaries, because I may not have improved on verbal. Much thanks!

Pay your money and take your chances. You never know what might happen.

By the time you get your #'s, it will be too late to finish since most deadlines are Nov 1-ish.

Your secondaries will be held for your Aug scores to arrive (around early Oct). So you're not regarded without the most recent scores. So you have no worries. I am also applying this year and am sending in my secondaries right now. Good luck!
