If someone wanted to take the august mcat, would it be ok to still send applications at the beginning of the cycle? I was just thinking that if someone still wanted to make sure their apps were in early they could send them, and all adcoms would be waiting for is the mcat score. please correct me if I'm wrong!! they don't start interviewing until september right, and scores released in october?

I think you've got it all figured out. You could go ahead and take the April MCAT and see how you do. I believe you can mark on your application that you will be retaking the MCAT in August.
