With less than two weeks to go, who here is feeling burned out? Even though I've reviewed my notes tons of times and taken several section tests, I feel like there's really not much else to do. I'm at the point where I feel like I just want to get this over with so I can start on my app and finally enjoy college for its full worth.

All I've got now is AAMC 7 (which I'll take tomorrow), 8, and 9. After that I don't think I'll study anymore. Who else is feeling the burn?

I think most of us that have been studying for several months could post the same thing you did. I feel like I have senioritis ... the end is so close and I just want it to be done!

When you've been studying for several months, I don't think there is much you can do in the last couple weeks that will have a huge impact in terms of increasing your score. I'm finishing my practice tests this week and next week will just do very light review (essentially taking the week off to give my mind a little rest before the test).

I hate these stupid tests. I wish this would be the last one, but assuming all goes well with the MCAT we still have USMLE to look forward to. 😉

Ugh - don't even mention it.

I find myself relying more and more on the fact that I'm a pretty good standarized test taker, but I know that won't even come close to cutting it on Step 1.

I keep telling myself that all I need is a 30 to have a decent chance at a Texas school - maybe I should stop telling myself that and start kicking myself in the rear.

I agree, for several state schools a 30+ is fine (in fact a 27 is a good score at my state school), but for some reason my friends and I are driving each other to get 36+. I guess the curse of being premed is that you get so used to the competitive environment you soon become it.

Haha, SDN does this to you too. 😉 I'm a non-trad so I'm really not around other pre-meds much - just here mostly. Pre-SDN I would have been happy with a 32 (my state school and #1 choice has an average MCAT of 29) but now I'll honestly be disappointed in myself if I get less than a 36.

Ack, I'm turning into one of those horrible gunners everyone talks about!! 😱

Sooooo burned out. I've been studying since December. I'm just reviewing formulas, hormones, etc, and I still have AAMC 7 and 9, and then I think relaxing to have anough steam to get through the actual day is the best idea.

yea, i think im thoroughly burned out. 2 weeks before the test.. not a bit nervous. i did a verbal section but the rest of my day was pretty much on the coach watching tv 😀. i must snap out of it i must..

Dude, you could get a 32 in your sleep

I agree! All you folks getting >34 consistently on your practice exams should just chill for the next 2 weeks. It's all of us that are not consistent and dipping below 30 that need to study!

Yeah I hear you guys... I've been sorta studying for months, but not really hardcore until the last month and a half maybe... I'm getting in the mid-30s, but my last one (Kaplan 4) just dropped to 32. Now I just alternate between saying f this, I'm done studying, whatever happens happens. And sometimes I just freak myself out and get pissed at myself for not doing more sooner - especially with PS. My anti-stress solution is to boycott Kaplan materials... I'm convinced they're way harder than AAMC...

Just make sure you get two whole full-lengths on the day before and you'll be fine.
