I was looking through Kaplan's comprehensive review and was doing their essay questions. My question is...Does the mcat format the essay questions in the EXACT same way as Kaplan or are their differences?

For example, Here is kaplan's question:

To be effective, government officaials must have completely crime-free pasts.

Write a unified essay in which you accomplish the following tasks. Explain what you think the above statement means. Describe a specific situation in which a government official who once committed a crime might be able to perform effectively. Discuss what you believe determines when a criminal past would not interfere with a government official's effectiveness.

i think the OP better not be writing in chinese
kaplan will just ignore you and let it slide
but aamc might come for your head!..or give u a 0

no, no, if the second letter of your form coincides with the third letter of the last name of a distinguished scientist born between 1773 and 1889, then you get double bonus points for writing in Chinese. Note: This applies to Mandarin, not Cantonese; if you write in Cantonese, you lose two points. Of course, if the first letter of your form coincides with the middle initial of a 19th Century American President (except for Benjamin Harrison, because he sucked), then this supercedes the second letter rule and you aren't allowed to write in any language that does not use a script shared with English. That means no Asian or Slavic languages. However, German, French, Spanish, and Italian are o.k., as long as you don't use any words with letters that have umlauts or tildes.

My favorite exception to the rules, though, is when the second letter of your form is 7 or 13 letters past the first letter. Then, your 'essay' actually has to be pictorial, and you have to draw lovely pictures arguing your point. If you write in words, you automatically get an X AND 5 points are deducted from each of your multiple choice section scores. If you don't have the 5 points to deduct in any given section, the AAMC sends a burly man to your house to beat you.

I bet you didn't get this inside scoop from any old Kaplan course! 😱
