I took my MCAT in August of 2001 10 12 13 P, and I didn't bother applying until this year. I know that many medical schools wont take scores more than three years old making this the last year those scores are valid. Have any of you guys encountered this problem as well? I'm not planning on having to reapply, but there is always the chance in this crap shoot of a process. I guess my fear is not being able to replicate my score.

Also, how many med schools have a >3 year cutoff for the MCAT?

i think most schools have a three year cut-off, which i didn't realize until applying. i took it in 2000 and applied this year, so i too ran into the same concerns.

i thought it was a little misleading how your mcat scores are valid for 5 years, but most schools only take them for 3 years...

anyway, good luck with the rest of the process, - it's a long road, but it will pay off in the end!
